Steelworks and Foundries
We have the right crane solutions for a variety of applications in foundries: casting cranes with up to four crane girders for the safe and efficient handling of ladles. Double-girder overhead travelling cranes in-house transport of the components required for casting (e.g. mould boxes) and for handling the castings to be processed.
Rolling Mills
In addition, we supply technologies tailored to meet individual needs for all lifting and transport requirements in hot and cold rolling mills. These applications include the in-house transport of slabs and ingots as well as the handling of mill rolls for storage and maintenance. And with our travel units, we provide complete drive solutions for rail-mounted transport applications.
Storage and staging
We supply crane installations of semi-automatic and fully automated design for the dedicated storage and staging of metal products (e.g. coils made of aluminium or other metals, bar stock profile sections, etc.). Depending on the requirements, we also supply the specially developed Amsak warehouse management system.

The paper industry is one of the key sectors for Amsak’s process cranes technology. From precise positioning of machine rollers to fully automated stores for paper rolls, we offer solutions tailored to meet individual needs. Thanks to the many installations that we have already realized for companies in the paper production and processing sector all over the world, we have extensive industry-specific expertise.

Paper Production

Paper Storage
The efficient channeling of a paper machine’s production output requires reliable and versatile materials handling. All over the world, we have a large number of reference storage systems equipped with crane installations for the vertical storage of paper rolls, which customers operate with Amsak crane solutions.
In the fully automated paper roll stores, our cranes pick the rolls up, gently store them vertically in stacks and, if required, stage the rolls of paper just-in-time for the next step in the operation.
The cranes are controlled by the Amsak warehouse management system, which communicates direct with the customer’s host computer, the paper roll transport installation and the operating terminals in the various parts of the paper factory. Installation-specific storage strategies – designed to meet the needs of intermediate roll stores or shipping stores – can be configured by means of visualization screens.
